Daddy
Daddy when the lights on
It stays on through the night
I just wanted you to know
It's for you to be alright
Daddy when the night's cold
And the heater's on for you
I just want to hug you warm
And to show I love you too
Daddy when the day's rough
And work creeps to your mind
Please hold on and I'll be there
to make sure you feel fine
And daddy when you're crying
Which I know you keep denying
I'm making sure I'm finding
A cloud with silver linings
For you...

Regarding Abortion
Things you shouldn't say when opposing the legalisation of abortion.
"Abortion is the premature expulsion of the foetus from the womb." (Doesn't it make you think the baby shoots out like a bullet?)
"When a mother's life is at risk due to the baby, the baby's life is probably also in danger. Because of this, the baby will, er, ... ... ..., die first. So the mother won't die."
"Abortion is dangerous for the mother but even more dangerous for the foetus."
In reply to the black market:
"It's their freedom of choice if they want to go to the black market. They can die."

I Have Always Been Selfish
I have been so selfish.
And thus upon this statement, I solemly declare the elegance and comeliness of selling fish has inspired me to be a fish monger. It is the only viable occupation that will enable me to attain the standard of excellence my parents and brothers has already obtained through blue collar jobs and spending countless hours a day in the sun. I will sell top standard fish, fresh and alive from Singapore river, all caught every evening when the night is young and little fish swim to the borders of Clark Quay to have a taste of tossed in beer bottles. Ten thousand puerile adolescents will squall and sqwak, push and pull, kick and excrete a rhapsody dirty language just so they could get their filthy hands on the fish. I will be paid millions! Billions! Trillions! I will be embraced in my twilight zone; be crowned Fishy Queen by the media, and become the monopoly of the fish industry. I'll live happily ever after in a bungalow with ten children and the man of my dreams, which wouldn't be a problem because everyone will want Fishy Queen.

Farting Sheep
Verse 1
He, he looked so good in white
And his, his pants it was so tight
And girls in uniform
Blue in dark and light
Oh she, she felt so right
Verse 2
Oh, he, he thought he was cool
And, she, she was just such a fool
So in the cinema
Her friends were out of sight
Yeah she, she felt so right
Chorus:
He was a farting sheep
Racing down the corridor
He was a farting sheep
And he wanted to know more
So he put his hand
Down my shirt
And made me feel so wrong
He was a farting sheep
That is why I'm singing this song
Verse 3
She, she got outta school
But he, he said he had a flu
And she went to the mall
She saw him with another girl
Oh gee, this wasn't right
Chorus:
Bridge:
So in the dark, he thought he had the chance
Farting sheep took off his pants
She really wanted her revenge
So she pushed the girl aside
And she kicked with all her might
Chorus:
That is why I'm singing this song x3

Sweet Sorrow
Sweet sorrow.
It stood forgotten
Like summer`s love in autumn;
Drifting sunlit leaves and
Nightly lain dew
Running through, disappear
Sweet sorrow.
It hid love
Like soft hands that hold
Water between fingers
Beauty that ran beyond skin deep
Through only those brown eyes
You could
Find
Blood thick
It ran down veins
Oh sweet, sweet irony
and sorrow;
Of a cut and a single letter
Spellings from the heart.
I never held the hand I so loved
It...
...Slipped;
I remember;
I dare not ask
Him

There were many people to live up to. Many expectations and many dreams. Many people, like Andrea, Zhiying, Sheryl, and closest to our hearts, Shirin. There were many people whom thought we could make it, many whom believed in us. There were many whom we promised and many who lost faith in us. There were many who walked out, and many who stayed. Many who helped against countless objections, many who looked down on us but helped us anyway.
These are the people whom I have let down.

A Children's Ward
A childrens ward is funereal and melancholic, it pulls your spirits down when you step in and it fills you with emotion as you leave.
You know what it is? It is a modernized third world scene. It's scary.

There's Always Something
At times the world can seem an unfriendly and sinister place. But believe us when we say there is much more good in it than bad. And what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events, may in fact, be the first steps of a journey.
Back there, I could call up any random neighbour and we would sit on swings and sing happy songs about siamese cats and make a leaf pile and play inside and roller blade in my spacious living room and eat ice cream and ham samples from cold storage and just have lots of fun. Or we would go into the longkang and walk as far in darkness till we actually reach Balmoral. We dug holes the size of rabbit holes under gates so we didn't have to take the long way and crawl underneath to come home to the other side and balance along 15cm wide drain sides to steal blue pea flowers from Moses Lim's house for maids to make kueh. We hung rafia across lamp posts to play badminton and we played hopscotch using markings from charcoal and this always pissed the chairman off. We could show the younger kids and older spoilt brats how we can walk over a rainbow shaped monkey bar, the highest point being 3m and it was slanting. On top, we would play bogey man and recite Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes (yes, we could recite the long poems perfectly). We sat under the resident bitch's house on an old grey swing and gossiped about her, and once brought her to a house containing a huge dog and scared her away. By 7pm when Jun Hong's house starts echoing of mahjong noises, it was time to go home to watch whatever chinese show was on channel 8.
